Policies
Attendance
- Classes: Enrollment in Columbus Music and Art Academy is for a school year. Each student is expected to remain active and committed to the program for the entire school year. Students of Columbus Music and Art Academy must demonstrate a sense of commitment by punctual attendance of classes.
- Choir rehearsals: A member of the Choir may be excused for legitimate conflicts by reporting to the Choir Director prior to the start of the rehearsal. Dress rehearsals before any concert are mandatory. An absence from a dress rehearsal, for any reason, may result in the chorister not singing the corresponding concert.
- Choir performances: Attendance is required at all scheduled performances. At the beginning of the performance season Choristers must submit a written schedule of conflicts, if any, to the Choir Director. In addition, last-minute conflicts should be reported by email or calling to the Choir Director. Prior to each event, Choristers will receive information by email containing details of the event, such as call times, uniform dress and directions.
Registration
- Class trial: New students are welcome to try a class before enrolling. The trial is free if the student decides not to register for the remainder of the year. Otherwise, the cost of the trial class is included in the tuition.
- Registration form: All students need to fill out the registration form and mail it with a nonrefundable $100 deposit to Columbus Music and Art Academy before the first class or bring to the first class and turn in to the teacher.
